Aeger sp.
This is a crustacean Aeger (Aeger sp.) from Solnhofen, Germany.
It is perhaps the most familiar shrimp among Solnhofen crustaceans. It is characterized by its long antennae. Although not preserved in this specimen, the presence of setae on the first pereiopod is also useful for identifying Aeger.
The width of the matrix is 205mm.
Purchased at the German fossil shop Krautworst Naturstein GmbH. Krautworst Naturstein GmbH is a regular exhibitor at major mineral shows held in Tokyo. They handle many fossils from Solnhofen.
