Androgynoceras

Androgynoceras

A half-cut fossil of Androgynoceras, an ammonite that lived in the Jurassic period. It is one of the representative ammonites of England.

This specimen allows for good observation of the septa inside the phragmocone. Translucent calcite (?) crystals have formed in some places. This is a favorite point.
