Dinosaur (Theropod) Footprint (Grallator)

A small theropod (carnivorous dinosaur) footprint fossil from the Portland Formation in Massachusetts, USA.
The matrix consists of multiple layers of mudstone, and a fossilized piece of wood is embedded in the back. It captures a waterside scene from that time (Early Jurassic, about 170 million years ago).

The three-toed print is completely preserved down to the tips, making it an interesting impression fossil engraved with skin/muscle texture (a wrinkled feel).

Footprint size is 177 mm
